5 steps to a clean, polished look!

Not all of us have 12 hours a day to pamper ourselves and neither do we have beauticians to scrub our feet and throw on fake lashes to make us look picture perfect. However, here are 5 easy techniques to attain a more polished look in minutes!

1) Get a manicure and pedicure (or do it yourself!)
Not all of us realize it but our nails are the first thing analyzed when we meet people. How better to create an impression than with bright nails with a demure look or vice versa? Glossy Burgundy always does the trick. The hottest shades for autumn nail lacquers are the deepest maroons and most decadent browns.

2) Wear your hair in a knot
A big trend this season is wearing a sleek or messy as shown by Proenza Schouler, Gucci and Nina Ricci for Spring 2011. Agreed its a thing of the "past," but chic today is chic tomorrow. ;)  Here's how to do it in less than four minutes!

3)Throw on a fitted blazer
I will personally attest to this trick. There is nothing easier throwing on a fitted jacket  on jeans, pants, skirts or even a dress. Structured blazers, with sharp lines make you look so put together. Wearing a blazer like the one I'm wearing with a billowy dress with ballet flats work for the day look as well! Black, Navy Blue, Brown and Grey work well with all skin tones and are very versatile.

P's tip- Invest in a blazer!!! It'll last forever. Here's my favorite! Someday, I'll own it. :p

4)Wear close toed stilettos
While a good heel in itself oozes confidence, close toed platforms cover the toes, exposing the right amount of skin (like my faux snake skin pumps from Zara). The result?? A refined touch to even the most dowdy outfit!

5) Carry a structured satchel
A simple rule of thumb is that the more structured your apparel or accessories are, the more sleek and sophisticated they look. When picking out a satchel, think classic!
P's tip- Stick to neutral colors like taupe, ivory, black or brown.
PS- Stay away from monogrammed bags!!!
